This project showcases the complete transformation of solid wood, taking it from raw, knotty pine planks to a polished, handcrafted centerpiece for the home. The build involved meticulously assembling a massive dining table featuring traditional breadboard ends and a robust trestle-style base. The work included a precise finishing process, utilizing a contrasting two-tone design: a deep, dark stain to highlight the wood’s natural grain on the top, paired with a crisp white paint for the base. The final result, now installed in the finished dining space under the new chandelier, is a stunning example of custom craftsmanship that perfectly balances rustic farmhouse warmth with modern, clean lines, demonstrating my full range of skills from construction to fine finishing.
